NUTSWP Track Day Returns: Join Us for a Weekend of Riding, Tuning, and Giveaways

After a sold-out inaugural event, the NUTSWP Track Day returns for 2026—bigger, better, and with more ways to participate. This year’s event spans a full weekend at Buttonwillow Raceway Park, one of California’s most technical and rewarding circuits. Whether you have never turned a wheel on a track or you hold a race license, there is a group and a schedule designed specifically for you.

Track days are where the motorcycle community is at its best: riders of all backgrounds sharing the pavement, trading tips, and celebrating the pure joy of cornering a motorcycle. Our goal with this event is to lower every barrier to entry while still challenging experienced riders. Here is the full rundown.

1. Event Format and Rider Groups

We structure the weekend around three distinct rider groups to ensure that everyone—from first-timer to club racer—gets the track time and instruction they need to have a safe, productive, and exhilarating weekend.

Beginner Group: Your First Track Day

If you have never ridden on a circuit, this group is built for you. The day starts with a mandatory classroom session covering track etiquette, flags, body position fundamentals, and line selection. On track, you will ride in a controlled group with passing restricted to designated zones on straights only. A dedicated instructor leads each session, demonstrating the racing line at a relaxed pace. By the end of the day, you will have completed four 20-minute on-track sessions and gained more confidence than you thought possible in a single day. Motorcycle rental is available for riders who prefer not to bring their own bike.

Intermediate Group: Building Speed and Consistency

For riders with at least two prior track days, the intermediate group focuses on corner speed, trail braking, and body position refinement. Passing is permitted on the outside of corners and on all straights. Each session is followed by a brief debrief with a coach who has been observing from trackside. The intermediate curriculum includes dedicated sessions on late braking technique, mid-corner line adjustments, and drive grip out of slow corners—the skills that separate casual track day riders from serious enthusiasts.

Advanced Group: Open Lapping

For licensed racers and experienced track day riders, the advanced group runs open-lapping sessions with passing permitted anywhere, anytime, as long as it is safe. No classroom, no drills—just clean, fast laps. However, our suspension technicians will be available in the paddock for those who want to review data, adjust damping settings, or try different tire pressure strategies. The advanced group gets the most track time of the weekend: six 25-minute sessions on Saturday and five on Sunday.

2. On-Site Services That Make the Difference

A great track day is about more than just the track time. We invest heavily in paddock services that make the weekend smooth, safe, and memorable.

Technical Inspection and Tire Services

Our certified tech inspectors will check every motorcycle before it enters the track: tire condition and pressure, brake pad thickness, chain tension, throttle return, and fluid leaks. This is not a pass-fail ordeal—if something needs attention, our paddock technicians can address minor issues on the spot. A tire vendor will be on-site all weekend with mounting, balancing, and a full selection of sport and race tires at event-day pricing. Pre-ordering tires through the event registration page guarantees availability in your size.

Suspension Tuning Bay

Bring your motorcycle to the suspension bay, and our technicians will measure sag, check damping settings, and provide a baseline setup tailored to your weight, pace, and the Buttonwillow circuit characteristics. This is a free service for all registered riders. If you are running Performance Line suspension components, we can also log suspension travel data via our telemetry system and review it with you after your session. Seeing exactly how much travel you are using—and where in the corner you are using it—is an eye-opening experience for any rider.

Photography and Video

Professional trackside photographers will be capturing every session all weekend. High-resolution digital images are available for purchase individually or as a full-weekend package. We are also offering a new helmet-mounted video analysis service: borrow one of our cameras for a session, and our coaches will review the footage with you, corner by corner, to identify line improvements, braking markers, and body position adjustments.

3. The Off-Track Experience

When the engines cool down, the fun does not stop. We have built a full weekend experience that extends well beyond pit lane.

Saturday Evening BBQ and Raffle

Saturday after the final session, the paddock transforms into a community gathering. We provide the barbecue, sides, and drinks—free for all registered riders and their guests. During dinner, we hold our annual raffle with over $10,000 in prizes: Performance Line components, tires, gear, and the grand prize: a complete Stage 2 Performance Line upgrade kit for your motorcycle, including professional installation at a shop of your choice. All raffle proceeds go to the WMRC scholarship fund.

Camping and Accommodations

Free overnight camping is available at the track Friday and Saturday nights. The paddock has restrooms, but no showers, so plan accordingly. For those who prefer walls and hot water, we have a discounted room block at the Hampton Inn Buttonwillow, ten minutes from the track gate. Book through the link on our event page to access the group rate. Spaces in both the campground and the hotel block fill up early—reserve when you register for the event.

4. Registration and Preparation

Registration is open now, and slots in each group are capped to maintain session quality. Last year’s event sold out three weeks before the date, so early registration is strongly advised.

What to Bring

Bring your motorcycle in good mechanical condition, a full-face helmet (Snell or ECE rated), a one-piece or two-piece leather suit (textile suits are acceptable for beginner group only), gauntlet gloves, and boots that cover the ankle. A basic tool kit, tire pressure gauge, hydration system, and a canopy for shade will make your paddock experience far more comfortable. A full checklist is available on the event registration page.

Secure Your Spot
